Happy moments always fly by—before we knew it, a week has already passed since the 2025 China International Model Exhibition (HEC). Over the past week, we’ve been sorting through the photos and videos taken during the three-day exhibition and using our meetings to summarize this year’s achievements and identify areas for improvement.
As we carry out these tasks, every little detail from this year’s exhibition keeps coming to mind. Once again, all members of the Henglong Model team would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who visited our AF20 booth.
Although the exhibition lasts for three days, each day offers something exciting and unique—but after all, only a small number of professional visitors can participate throughout the entire event. Therefore, in this issue, we’ve carefully selected and categorized the highlights from the three-day exhibition to share with you all.
99A makes its debut

The third-generation upgrade of the Type 99 main battle tank is the dream vehicle for Chinese RC tank enthusiasts. At the China Model Expo 2025, Henglong Models finally unveiled to the wider model-building community the engineering prototype of this long-awaited Type 99 third-generation upgrade.

Model enthusiasts who came specifically to see it gathered in front of the prototype of the Henglong RC-99A, stopping to ask our staff for detailed information about this remote-controlled tank.

Among the visitors at the exhibition was one who had personally driven the Phase 3 modified version of the 99. He excitedly expressed to the exhibitors from Henglong Models:
The 99ARC tank launched by Henglong Model is remarkable both in terms of materials used and in its faithful reproduction of the battle tank.

The recognition from industry professionals is the greatest encouragement for our work. The Henglong Model will definitely uphold our company culture of “never settling for less,” and we’re committed to delivering the official version of the 99ARC tank to everyone as soon as possible.
Painting Competition

At the 2024 show, Henglong Models launched a painting contest, which received an enthusiastic response from model-building enthusiasts. To ensure that the positive interaction between Henglong Models and its model-building community continues, we’ve once again organized a painting contest at this year’s show.
In this painting competition, we once again received a great many outstanding entries. Now, let’s have Henglong’s editor show you these exceptional painted works once more.

The biggest highlight at this year’s painting competition was a historical alternate-universe work titled “Land Cruiser.”

This piece comes from Wen Mu, a well-known figure in the model-painting community. According to Teacher Wen Mu: “The Land Cruiser is a concrete manifestation of model culture.” This work involves...
Various aspects of the model’s intricate craftsmanship. The “Land Cruiser” was created using modifications, painting techniques, and 3D technology. To complete this piece, Teacher Wenmu spent over a year in total. The chassis of the “Land Cruiser” is based on the Leopard G tank and Tiger II tank chassis produced by Henglong Models.
Assembled by splicing together various components. For the turret section, in addition to using turrets from the Panzer IV, Tiger (P), and Type III L, Teacher Wenmu also employed 3D printing technology to create the turret for the Panzer II, as well as the superstructure atop the chassis.

This highly creative modded model drew the most gasps of amazement from the audience. Everyone eagerly raised their cameras or smartphones to snap photos, preserving this rather fascinating piece in their own memories.

Combined with popular culture

As the Henglong tank continues to evolve, at this year’s exhibition our products have finally intersected with popular culture.
Coser’s visit marks a growing number of young people discovering the fun of RC tanks and joining the RC tank community.
May this first-ever collaboration between “Guns N’ Roses” at the exhibition lay a solid foundation for Chinese remote-control military models—represented by the Henglong model—to gain wider recognition and break into the mainstream.

You’re with me all the way.

The vigorous development of the Henglong model would not have been possible without the enthusiastic support of our fellow enthusiasts. We will deeply cherish this enthusiasm and transform it into the driving force for our continued progress.
With you by my side all the way, even a little pain is worth it. May the Henglong Model accompany you on your journey ahead. Thank you for being here—see you again in Beijing next year!
